Summary Word Processor III Emmitsburg, MD Chenega Analytic Business Solutions (CABS) provides federal agencies and commercial customers with trusted insights into Records and Information Management, Administrative Solutions, Information Technology, Engineering, and Training.
Formed in 2017 to serve federal and commercial customers, CABS is 8(a) certified and has grown quickly into a leader in the federal IT and Training environment.
The Word Processor III will provide administrative and word processing support related to course development and delivery.
The Word Processor III will be assigned tasks by the Project/Program Manager or the Word Processor Lead.
Responsibilities Provide word processing support as required, including format and layout, grammar, punctuation, pagination, and proofreading from draft through final stages for course developments and deliveries.
Provide word processing support for correspondence, reports, agendas, evaluations, biographies, course catalogs/brochures, and other documents in support of EMI programs.
Provide professional quality word processing support as required for presentations and other visual products.
Provide support for webinars and notetakings.
Check and fix course materials for Section 508 compliance.
Meet with course managers to discuss course revisions and provide updates regarding the status of current projects.
Provide transcription of videos to be used for closed captioning and Section 508 compliance.
Maintain the electronic files for all courses and store on a learning content management system as designated by the government.
Operate office machines as required.
Provide support with classroom registrations.
Complete timesheet daily.
Complete annual contract and Chenega training requirements.
Travel locally up to 10%.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications Minimum Qualifications :
(To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.
) High school diploma or GED equivalent is required.

years of relevant experience.
Sophisticated production experience with computers and software, including but not limited to Microsoft Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, and Adobe Professional.
Must be able to pass a FEMA background check.
Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Section 508 compliance knowledge is a plus.
Must have knowledge of modern office practices and procedures.
Ability to work with a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, (MSWord and Excel), Outlook, and copier equipment.
Ability to take notes in meetings, calls, classroom setting, etc.
Ability to support webinar trainings.
Ability to effectively communicate in written and verbal English language.
Ability to occasionally work nights, evenings, or weekends as needed for classroom setup or emergency support.
Possess leadership and problem-solving skills.
Ability to multi-task in a high stress, performance-based environment.
Ability to self-start and work independently or as a team.
Ability to travel locally up to 10%.
