Video & Multimedia Producer
Job Description:
The Video and Multimedia Producer (VMP) is responsible for the creation and production of video and multimedia content for the University.
This includes developing and executing video concepts and production strategies, capturing high quality still photography and motion video, developing graphics and content for all University channels, and collaboration with all strategic marketing efforts, including web, graphics, digital, and enrollment marketing.
Essential Duties and
Responsibilities:
Plan and produce multimedia content for the web and social media, including concept development, storyboarding, scripting, logistical coordination, lighting, technical production, capturing of audio and video, editing, and file preparation.
As part of the University Marketing team, advocate for creative and strategic use of video and multimedia as a storytelling vehicle and collaborate with other creators on content development and storytelling.
Develop and maintain the University's video properties to align with recruitment strategies.
Serve as a collaborative partner for the Office Marketing and Communications staff, supporting other department efforts including web development, print, and digital communications.
Keep up to date with the latest trends in video and multimedia.
Partner with the undergraduate social media team and other college departments to create and distribute videos, graphics, and content through the college's various channels.
Use appropriate analytical tools to measure the effectiveness of the University's video and multimedia performance.
Manage student undergraduate social media team and develop engaging multimedia content for undergraduate social media and other University channels.
Capture video and still photography of the University campus and community as needed.
Help manage multimedia assets including video files, footage, photos, and native production files.
Maintain the department's videography and photography equipment and recommend necessary equipment, software and technology as needs change.
Ensure all video and audio assets meet accessibility guidelines.
Complete other duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Education, Experience and Skills:
Bachelor's degree in communications, film, or a related field 3
years of experience in video production Strong understanding of video production workflows and technologies Experience with audio and video equipment and capturing video Proficiency and experience with digital editing and motion graphics software, including Adobe Premiere, After Effects, Photoshop Practical knowledge in other Adobe programs, including Indesign and Illustrator Excellent written and verbal communication skills Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to meet deadlines and work under pressure Ability to work with a variety of people from different backgrounds and disciplines Preferred
