The Seton Center is currently looking for a Full-time Family Store Assistant.
DUTIES AND
Responsibilities:
Sort, clean, price, store and handle home goods, clothing, accessories, and miscellaneous items related to assistant's assigned area.
Assist in researching and pricing high-end merchandise on the internet.
Provides excellent customer service while operating the POS system.
Answer phone, direct calls to correct person or answer customers' questions.
Responsible for overall arrangement, cleanliness, and appearance of assigned work/storage spaces at all times.
Assist in the proper display of merchandise Assist in the opening and closing of the Store and register on days assigned or in the absence of the Director of Operations.
Assist in delegating the work by partnering with Volunteers assigned to staff's area.
With the Director of Operations or designee, count and record all money from sales and donations, prepare deposit and properly secure all monies Recommends identification of needy families to the Director of Operations for referral to an Intake Worker.
Maintains the confidential nature of information obtained through Seton Center Perform other duties as assigned.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLS REQUIRED:
Retail experience a plus.
Understanding of commitment to and evidence of reliance on the Vincentian charism in interacting with clients, customers, staff and volunteers.
Ability to make mature, flexible, and trustworthy judgments and decisions Respect toward and works well with staff, volunteers, clients, and customers Ability to interact with customers and resolve complaints or grievances Ability to operate a calculator and electronic Point of Sale system Ability to inspect donated items thoroughly for imperfections.
Excellent interpersonal/customer service skills.
Ability to follow cash management procedures for sales, debit, credit & gift cards, customer rewards points, discounts, and vouchers Knowledge of current, collectable & vintage trends and styles of merchandise and clothing.
PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS:
Must possess clear vision to visually inspect donations for defects as well as operate the POS system.
Must be able to convey donations from donors' vehicles to inside the building in all-weather/temperature conditions Must be able to lift and/or be able to move up to 50 pounds with assistance Ability to stand, sit, lift, pull, bend, kneel throughout the day Ability to pull, lift items from the Sorting Room to the Sales Floor.
Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
