Summary:
The Photographer IV is responsible for multimedia production as well as the operation and maintenance of A/V equipment for the FEMA NETC.
Supports customer requirements for photography (portrait, event, etc.
) video production, photo/video/audio editing, and audio/video support.
Objectives are strong customer service, ability to turn projects around to the customer within prescribed time.
Track and respond to tickets as assigned and be comfortable multitasking.
Responsibilities:
Photography Provide studio and on location photography using Canon DSLRs.
This includes staff portraits, class photos, graduation portraits, event photography, and photography of visiting special groups.
Requires knowledge of studio and on location lighting (flash and continuous), posing techniques for portraits and group photos, equipment selection, and skill in live event photography.
Import, organize, edit, and export photography using Lightroom and Photoshop.
Must be able to professionally select and retouch large volumes of photos within a short turnaround time for timely publication on social media and FEMA websites.
Digital Asset Management Organize and manage a repository of previous videos and photos using Adobe Lightroom.
Pull photos or videos from library as customers request.
Expert in the use of Adobe Creative Cloud family of software for editing multimedia, specifically Photoshop Lightroom Premiere and Audition.
Video Production Select and set up video, audio, and lighting equipment both in studio and on location.
Camera operation (DSLR and ENG style cameras), teleprompter loading and operation, lighting, audio recording.
Video Editing Editing video in Adobe Premiere, sound repair and enhancement in Premiere and Audition, motion graphics in After Effects Transcribing speech into, adding transcriptions as open and/or closed captioning to video projects.
Encoding, and exporting completed video projects into requested formats.
Post-production responsibilities using Adobe Premiere and Audition.
Audio Recording Podcasting, voiceovers, etc.
Familiarity with Focusrite interfaces, Recording and editing audio sessions via Ableton or Audition.
Maintain campus television equipment and schedules.
Install and maintain A/V equipment in auditoriums including microphones, mixers, amplifiers, projectors, speakers, and A/V switchers.
Familiarity with Shure, Sennheiser, Panasonic, Roland, Yamaha A/V products.
Provide support and guidance in the classrooms as needed with audio visual support.
Maintain new and surplus equipment inventory, as this equipment is moved around to various locations while supporting customer needs.
Create SOPs for areas of support to cover processes, hardware, and training requirements.
Requirements:
Knowledge of:
Adobe Creative Cloud, Adobe Premiere Pro, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe After Effects, Adobe Lightroom, Adobe Audition, Adobe Photoshop, Adobe Audition, Zoom, Microsoft Teams, and Microsoft Office.
Knowledge of audio-visual equipment and practices.
Knowledge of Polycom and Cisco video teleconferencing devices.
Ability to successfully complete a DHS Public Trust background investigation.
Education/
Experience:
Associate degree in related field.
Minimum of at least 4 years of relevant work experience.
