35 an hour 2 days ago 2 days ago 2 days ago Job Summary The Laundry Worker performs a variety of tasks, including but not limited to collecting linen from the various buildings, sorting soiled linen, loading, and unloading machines, folding clean linen, and delivering clean linen back to the buildings at CMI's customer site located in Emmitsburg, MD.
Key Job Functions Responsible for counting and recording the linen processed each day from each dorm building, making proper pick up and deliveries to dorm buildings and, cleaning and sanitizing the work area including but not limited to; machines, worktables and sorting area.
Performs laundry activities within established guidelines to ensure that quality standards, safety guidelines and customer service expectations are met.
Operates commercial washers and dryers.
Reports equipment/cleaning product needs and or malfunctions to supervisor in a timely fashion.
Assists with the annual linen inventory.
Education and
Qualifications:
Utilizes personal protective Equipment (PPE) in all appropriate functions.
Familiar with the safe and proper use of detergents and adhering to all safety precautions.
Ability to stand, walk and bend for extended periods of time.
Must be able to pull and push weight up to 70 pounds and lift and carry weight up to 50 pounds, Must be able to twist, bend, and reach from floor to waist height and from waist to chest level.
Can follow oral and written instructions, is pleasant, tactful, and courteous and cooperative with supervisor, co-workers, and client staff.

Estimated Salary: $20 to $28 per hour based on qualifications.
