Computer Programmer IV

Essential Duties and Responsibilities: (Reasonable accommodations may be made to enable individuals with disabilities to perform the essential functions of this position)
  • Work with team to gain an understanding of the desired solution (application) described in the business requirements documentation.
  • Provide database support for all customer programs to ensure all databases are functioning properly and efficiently, as directed by the DBA.
  • Write codes using appropriate technologies as decided in the customer meetings/requirements and documented by the lead.
  • Create user test documentation and perform tests specified within the documents.
  • Create and maintain technical documentation.
  • Participate in code review sessions and customer meetings.
  • Maintain inventory of software to include any software used for development.
  • Assist other developers as needed and work with the group on peer reviews of projects.
Non-Essential Duties:
  • Other duties as assigned to meet the needs and requirements of the contract/client.
Supervisory Responsibilities:

Minimum Qualifications: (To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily.)
  • High School Diploma/GED required.
  • 5 years experience in related field of coding database applications according to defined business requirements is required.
  • Previous work experience on a Government contract or at a government facility is strongly preferred.
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
  • Must be familiar with. NET, SQL Server, SQL Server Reporting services and have a strong understanding of application architecture, interfaces, printers, other applications and movement of data.
  • Must have a strong understanding of application architecture, interfaces, databases, computer equipment and other applications.
  • Knowledge using configuration management software to coordinate code changes and keep team members informed
  • Must have knowledge of a variety of computer software applications in word processing, spreadsheets, databases, presentation software (MS Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint), and Outlook.
  • Must have the ability to work nights, weekends, and holidays if required.

Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Don't Be Fooled

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
