Every FEMA employee has regular and recurring emergency management responsibilities, though not every position requires routine deployment to disaster sites. All positions are subject to recall around the clock for emergency management operations, which may require irregular work hours, work at locations other than the official duty station, and may include duties other than those specified in the employee's official position description. Travel requirements in support of emergency operations may be extensive in nature (weeks to months), with little advance notice, and may require employees to relocate to emergency sites with physically austere and operationally challenging conditions.In this position, you will a Management & Program Analyst Intern. Typical assignments include:
Assisting with identifying and integrating policies, procedures, and practices for internal and external programs Assisting with conducting quantitative and qualitative analysis to evaluate effectiveness of programs Assisting with reviews of programs use of resources effectively and efficiency Assisting with providing short-range recommendations from program analysis studies to management Promotion Potential:
Future promotions will be dependent on your ability to perform the duties at a higher level, the continuing need for an employee assigned to the higher level, and administrative approval. Pathways Internship Eligibility:
To be eligible for the Pathways Internship Program, you MUST be currently enrolled in an accredited college (including 4-year colleges/universities, community colleges, and junior colleges) or professional, technical, vocational, or trade school; advanced degree programs; or other qualifying educational institution pursuing a qualifying degree or certificate at least half-time basis as determined by the school. To be eligible for the position, you MUST be currently enrolled at the time of application and have a Grade point average (GPA) of 2.0 (undergraduate) or 3.0 (graduate) and be in good standing. NOTE:
You MUST provide your transcripts (unofficial or Official) which shows your name, institutions, enrollment status, and GPA.
Qualifications:
You qualify for this position at the GS-07 level (starting hourly rate $22.53) if you possess the following:
One full year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade (GS-07) in the Federal Service. This experience may have been gained in the federal government, a state or local government, a non-profit organization, the private sector, or as a volunteer; however, your resume must clearly describe at least one year of specialized experience. Examples of specialized experience would typically include but are not limited to:
Using a wide variety of management and program analytical methods to develop assignments Making decisions on administrative processes and functions to accomplish assigned operational task Managing administrative areas, such as records management, maintaining and updating calendars, mail delivery, receiving calls and visitors, etc. OR Have completed one (1) full academic year of graduate level education; OR are eligible under the Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) Provision and completion of a bachelor's degree. Superior Academic Achievement (SAA) Provision:
Grade-point average (GPA) -- Applicants must have a GPA of (a) 3.0 or higher out of a possible 4.0 (B or better) as recorded on their official transcripts, or as computed based on 4 years of education, or as computed based on courses completed during the final two (2) years of the curriculum; or (b) 3.5 or higher out of a possible 4.0 (B+ or better) based on the average of the required courses completed in the major field or required courses in the major field completed during the final two (2) years of the curriculum. Experience refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service programs (e.g. Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community, student, social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge, and skills, and provides valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment. You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.NOTE:

The fraudster will send a check to the victim who has accepted a job. The check can be for multiple reasons such as signing bonus, supplies, etc. The victim will be instructed to deposit the check and use the money for any of these reasons and then instructed to send the remaining funds to the fraudster. The check will bounce and the victim is left responsible.
